Digital ultrasonic B-Scan Notebook PC Imaging System.

The SectorScan system is a fully fledged portable Notebook PC Ultrasonic Virtual Instrument, allowing true ultrasonic cross sectional imaging and defect analysis with full A-Scan digitizing and storage.

Supplied in a rugged extruded aluminium case SectorScan connects to the PC through the computer’s parallel port.

The unit comprises of the ultrasonic transmitter, receiver circuitry and auto ranging power supply, along with high speed digitizer and encoder interfaces.

The software provides standard flaw detector A-Scan presentation and controls and simplifies training requirements and unit operation for experienced UT operators.
Also included are controlled amplifiers and filter controls, 2 gates with independent flank and peak triggering and B-Scan image colour palette options.

Images are acquired with a single probe axis which can be encoded or free running.

There are measurement options for defect length and height, parabolic cursors to aid in defect length measurement and SAFT processing for dimensionally correct defect viewing.

Further, full replay of image A-Scans along with the ability to optimize signal gates offline allow internal defect analysis and thickness profiling to be undertaken and validated post inspection.

SectorScan can be used with our encoded manual probe carriage, TankScan scanner systems, as well as third party manual and automated scanners.
